🔁 8. Rotate and Repot When Needed

Rotate your plant every few weeks so that all sides receive equal light. This prevents the cactus from growing lopsided.

Repot it every 2–3 years, preferably in spring. Choose a slightly larger pot, refresh the soil mix, and trim any old or damaged roots.

Repotting stimulates new growth and increases your chances of multiple blooms per year.

🌺 9. Encourage Extra Blooms

Want your cactus to bloom again outside of the holiday season? It’s possible!

Here’s how to trigger off-season blooms:

  1. Once the first flowering ends, prune the plant slightly to stimulate new growth.

  2. Place it in a cool, dark place for about 6 weeks (12 hours darkness daily).

  3. Water lightly every two weeks.

  4. When buds appear, return it to a bright, warm room.

This technique can produce a second or even third bloom each year!
