Salt is one of the most potent natural herbicides available, working by dehydrating plants and making soil inhospitable to future growth. However, it should be used with extreme caution as it can sterilize soil for extended periods.
Preparation: Combine 500ml of water with 250ml of salt in a pot. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, stirring until salt completely dissolves.
Important Warning: Only use salt in areas where you never want plants to grow again, such as driveways or walkways. Salt can remain in soil for years and will kill any plant that tries to grow in treated areas.
