These Cherry Pie Bars are incredibly easy to make, and they don’t require any complicated steps. Just follow these simple directions to create a dessert that will wow your guests every time!

#### **Step 1: Preheat the Oven**
Preheat your oven to **350°F (175°C)**. Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it. This will help your bars come out easily and prevent sticking.

#### **Step 2: Make the Crust**
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the **flour**, **sugar**, **baking powder**, and **salt**. Add in the **egg**, **vanilla extract**, and **softened butter**. Mix until the dough comes together and resembles a soft, sticky dough. You can use a stand mixer, a hand mixer, or mix it by hand.

Once the dough is ready, press about **two-thirds of the dough** into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Make sure it’s spread evenly to form the base of your bars. Use a spoon or your hands to press it down firmly.
